Am I allowed to take the pillow and blanket on an Air Canada International flight?

Title^

Update:

Why are you bothering to answer if you don't know the answer?

I don't care if they're clean or not, because from my past experience, they are!

I know I can bring my own pillow and blanket, it causes no trouble to anyone.

Update 2:

I realize that my question is unclear, so let me rectify.

Am I allowed to take the pillow and blanket FROM an International flight on Air Canada. I want to take it off the plane, and take it as my own. Is that pillow and blanket my property, or is it borrowed to me?

    i dunno

but i do know that they have some

yes you might be worrying its dirty

sleep on your clothes maybe will work

    AFTER I RESEARCHED:

Not clean at all!! Here's how it works. Each night the airplane sits overnight at one of its cities it flies to. The crew who works there will take all of the pillows and blankets off of the flight, and change the pillow cases ONLY! That means that you still have a ton of soiled pillows containing god knows what that seeps through the pillow case throughout the 16-20 hours a day that plane flew for.

So if you are on the first flight of the day for that airplane, then your pillow cases are fresh at least, but the pillow is very dirty. Throughout the day, nothing gets changed very often as airline crews only have about a half hour to turn the plane around. They just take all the pillows and stack them in the overhead compartment nice and neat so you think they are fresh.

But this is how it's SUPPOSED to work: At each stop, the ground crew is supposed to bring a bag filled with fresh pillows, or pillows with fresh cases on them, and swap them out with the dirty ones from the previous flights. But that rarely happens as I mentioned they want to get the plane out quickly.

Blankets are the same. The blankets are switched out each night, but during the day, they are just folded up.

However most airlines are doing away with pillows and blankets all together! They are selling them on most flights which means you're at least getting a clean one.

ok now you know its very nasty.

    OK TEH PILLOW:

    Yes you can.

You can purchase a small one at the airport or you can take yours.

If you want to keep it clean, I recommend you use a double cover because you will have to put your pillow on the hard plastic box to pass it by the xray on the check point.

    AGAIN RESEARCH

The blanket has to fit in your carry on or personal item or they ask you to check your carry on or personal item at the gate.

There is limited space in the aircraft, they were not designed to have the amount of baggage they do now because of passgeners trying to avoid the fees.

When I worked the jetway, if you had any third item going onto the plane I had to stop you and check an item before you could board. I had a woman try to push her way past onto the plane and that woman was denied boarding onto the aircraft and was not allowed to make her flight.

    Put it in the suitcase.

    THE ANSWER IS

No, there are no rules on bringing your own blanket. You can take it with no problem.

    Have a great trip!

    SO YOU CAN BRING THEM

On the entire flights I've been on (to Europe and again to the US) I've on no account taken my possess pillow or blanket. I often uncover I cannot sleep very good anyhow and in my opinion I uncover planes are almost always hot sufficient with out the blanket. As for a pillow - consider you are going to be very practically the following seat and the seats do not fairly recline very a lot so imo it isn't valued at the problem of bringing it and having to juggle it together with your convey on as soon as you are within the airport and so on. By the way in which...pondering again, I do not belive I've ever visible any individual with their possess pillow and blanket on a flight.

On an international Air Canada flight, the pillow and blanket are provided to your during the flight, but they belong to the airline and you can't take them with you.

On a domestic or transborder flight, you can buy a pillow/blanket pack, and those you *can* take with you.

Some airlines such as jetBlue sell pillows and blankets that are yours to keep if you want to. However, pillows and blankets that are supplied by airlines on long haul flights are the property of the airline and are not supposed to be taken off the plane.
