Help choosing a specific/easy book for summer reading!!!?

I have 4 books in total I have to read over the summer. Yes I know I go to a college prep high school. Any way for my summer reading, I have three books already given to me and the fourth is of my choice between the three. These three books are Catch 22- by Joseph Heller, Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai and Resevtion blues by Sherman Alexie. Since I have a lot, please help me choose a short yet good book to read. Just tell me how many pages, what's it about and why its a good book. Thank you.

Update:

The first guy that answered suggested the Alchemist but I need you to choose between the books I listed

All three books are about the same length. I preferred Catch-22 because of the intricacy of the plot and conflict. I think it was made into a movie many years ago. You can get the book at your local library and depending on the size of your library you might be able to get the movie also or maybe you can find it online..

The Alchemist by Paolo Coehlo (sp?), it's about 180-200 pages long. The book has many deep meanings and is a very popular book that you can always find in the best selling shelves of a book store.
