Any alternatives to using pro tools for my Mbox mini?
I have windows 7 and pro tools 8 will not install on my machine, it's a brand new Asus stock so I'm guessing it's just never going to work with it. What alternatives do I have to do home recording through my Mbox Mini? I've heard Audacity works but it fails to show the mbox mini as an audio input device when I go to preferences.

Pro Tools 8 is compatible with windows 7. Contact Avid through their support page and ask them what drivers you need to download.

i'm sure contacting digidesign you can get your protools up and running.
if you want to use a different program, you may just need to download a driver or something for it. i believe thats what i would need to do if i wanted to use my mbox with garageband because it doesn't recognize it as an input, but i've been told it can.
