HOW DO YOU CLEAN A DIRTY ANCHOR LINE?
I USED MY BRAND NEW ANCHOR LINE IN SOME MUDDY WATER. SO, I NOW HAVE A BROWN ANCHOR LINE. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN IT?

There's a simple way of doing this. Use a net bag the same way that women use a lingerie bag in the wash. Put the anchor rode in, seal up the bag and wash it in a normal cycle. If you want to clean and soften running rigging, do the same and then soak the lines in a bucket of water with fabric softener. Once everything is clean and rinsed, lay out your lines to dry before stowing them. Never try and wash lines without putting them in some sort of bag to contain them. You'll either break something or end up with a hopeless snarl.
