what was the real reason that ketek company stop selling djarium cloves in america?
they started selling them as cigars and in packs of 12. these are not the same as the clove cigarette. thanks for your imput.

My guess is they got caught up with what defines a "cigar" in the eyes of the FDA. They have banned flavored and clove cigarettes - but not cigars just yet. But if their product was close to a cigar and sold in packs like a cigarette - the FDA may have determined they fit in the cigarette category.
I think the ban went into place sometime in mid 2009.

I would believe low sales, since they still had to pay taxes and it was always an accessory item demand just didn't dictate to keep them.
