a. F2(g) is reduced to F−(aq) and Fe(s) is oxidized to Fe2+(aq).
b. Cu2+(aq) is displaced from solution by Zn(s).

find the potential of the half reactions
the one which is more negative will be the oxidation
so reverse that one along with the sign of its potential
then
add the potentials
b)
Cu+2 + 2e- ---> Cu (+0.34v)
Zn+2 + 2e- ---> Zn (-0.76v)
reverse this one to get the actual half reaction
Zn ---> Zn+2 + 2e- (+0.76v)
then 0.34 + 0.76 = 1.10v
the standard cell potential
