Catholics: what have you gain in obeying the pope?
does he saves your soul from the wrath of God? Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Is it more logical to believed and obey the the pope than the Lord Jesus Christ?
As Christ Jesus said: Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
If the pope is Christ Jesus' side then why he taught members to pray to mary? is it logical to teach such teaching that is not taught by Christ?
If he is a symbol of the catholic church then he is abomination to God because he taught his follower that is against Christ Teaching. therefore, catholics are against Christ Jesus. Amen.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

I am having a little trouble following your rant. All Catholics follow Christ which is especially true of the Pope. God bless!

Since the pope instructs us in the ways of Christ, we hope to gain a great understanding of and love for Jesus or Lord and Savior.
No, the pope doesn't save our soul. Jesus does that. The pope directs us to Jesus. We agree with John 3:36.
Obeying the pope means obeying Jesus. The two actions are not in conflict. And Catholics agree with Matt 12:30 as well. Indeed, that verse should instruct YOU to stop condemning the pope, since the pope is on Jesus' side.

The Pope is just the leader of the Catholics. Every church has its leader.
Would you ask this question of a Southern Baptist? Would you say "Is it more logical to believe and obey Al Mohler Jr. than the lord Jesus Christ?"
Also, I think you'll find the pope DOES obey Christ, therefore those that are guided by the pope ARE guided by Christ.

You don't seem to have a very clear idea of what the pope is, do you? All he does is keep the Catholic church from splintering into thousands of feuding denominations. He's a shepherd, not a dictator. He's not the one who came up with all Catholic doctrine. That's the effort of all Catholics over the course of history. That effort includes the New Testament you are ignorantly presuming to interpret.
It sounds like you wish you were what you think the "pope" is.

>>Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life<<
Then Catholics have nothing to worry about, since as we say at Mass, "We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God..."

"females won't be able to hold severe positions" ---- if via 'severe Positions', you imply clergy, then you definitely are stunning. GOD standard HIS priests as adult men, no longer females. Had his purpose been to place dedicated females in that function, GOD might have truthfully made his own mom a priest, as she is the main unswerving follower palms down. although, he did no longer, so all of us comprehend it replaced into no longer meant. "contributors ought to confess sins to a priest" ---- particular, and that is considered with the aid of the Bible. The priests are facilitators of the Sacrament. the thought each and one and all is equivalent is incorrect. Equality is a guy made subject. In each and every thing, there ought to be a pacesetter... with out chief, you have too many evaluations, all which will fluctuate, so how do all of us understand what's authentic? that's the reason we've management. approximately sins being confessed to Christ... how might you recognize that HE has forgiven you? Do you hear a voice that asserts, ok your sins have been absolved? the respond isn't any... in case you look interior the bible, it speaks on many occassions that we'd desire to pass confess our sins. look at Matthew sixteen:18-19...."who's sins you bind on the earth, would be sure in heaven and those loosed on the earth would be loosed in heaven". right here, we see Jesus giving St. Peter the authority... in the different Gospel books, we hear Jesus giving the different Apostles (aka... GOD's priests) the ability to forgive sins besides.... it isn't the adult men that forgive the sins, that is GOD that does it... yet HE makes use of the priest as a facilitator of that capability with the aid of GOD's grace...

Good lord your so original in your thinking. Three times Jesus commanded Peter at the end of Johns Gospel to feed his sheep. That's the problem with you independent bible believers you only follow what you want to instead of the whole bible. Read John20:21-23 and note before Jesus gives his command to the Apostles to forgive sins he first tells them that as the Father has sent him he was now sending them. I'll bet those are verses you ignore unless you can find away to twist the meanings as your kind does with With John6:53-59.. You only believe what want to believe and ignore or try and explain away the rest.

The Pope is a servant of Christ Jesus, not a replacement or competitor. He obeys Christ just as all of us do. He is a guide, just as a pastor is a guide in a parish.

Atheist here... I was raised catholic... and I never bowed to prayed to or even really cared about the pope... he's just a recognized catholic leader... he's merely a symbol...

obeying the pope???? obviously you are not in an organized religion or sport or even workplace.... thats' pretty sad. you see ever organization - from a neighborhood watch to the USofA there is a LEADER - someone in charge. that's just common sense - otherwise there would be no organization. man i hope you don't have kids - there would be utter chaos if there was no leader in a family.
