Start out with a classic. Something that everyone knows and whoever is listening will like. This song is build up for the second one. The second song should be a new masterpiece. Something that really emphasizes the point of the playlist. It should be even more epic than the first song. Don't blow your load all at once though. Cool it down for a couple of songs after that. Near the end, build up again and make sure to end with the most powerful (or what not) song in the playlist. You want the listener to remember that one most. Other tips: Never make a playlist just for the hell of it. Make every song deliberate. Rearrange the songs so that it flows better. Most importantly, be subtle with your meaning

One of two ways; either by mood- of which I have several- or to show diversity, as in putting Kermit the frog singing, "the Rainbow Connection" with Cypress Hill doing, "Low Rider" with 5 Finger Death Punch doing, "The Bleeding" etc.

Well, I just take all my favorite bands, and the few songs by the bands who I don't like many songs by, enter them in, and I decide the order by first sorting all the songs by what they're in and then by how much I like them :).

The songs I like best go on top, but their is genre organization as well. And if two songs are by the same person, the newer one goes on top, but they're always together.
