What if America was to fail?

Au dix-huitième et dix-neuvième siècle l’Angleterre, Espagne, France et même le Portugal se partageaient le monde, ce n’est qu’au vingtième siècle que ce sont les États-Unis qui sont devenus la puissance mondiale. Actuellement, il semble déjà acquis que c’est la République Populaire de Chine qui prend le pas. L’histoire continue.

Brittany, Spain, France and even Portugal were ruling the world in the past centuries, only by the middle of the twentieth century was it the turn of the United States to become the most powerful country; and nowadays, it already seems that the People’s Republic of China gets in first place. So goes history.

America is loosing already a lot of their influence , since china is soon overtaking America at least financially, since the forming of the EU , the influence of teh USA is a lot less.

but your question is how would be world look like , pretty much the same as it is now, there will be rich countries USA canada some EU countries and some asian countries. and lots of poor countries.

there will be trade and other countries will step up. Remember that Russia once was one of the 2 superpowers , well they are not longer a superpower , and so China is moving up, if the USA would Fail , the EU would step up

Iran and North Korea would go on a rampage.

America might collapse into a series of smaller warring nations the sizes of Texas. People might leave the region.

Saudi Arabia would increase oil prices and stay with their abusive Islamic monarchy.

Poland would become a superpower, as it is currently gaining more and more power.

China would be the world controller import-export trade. It might also take Tibet for good.

Japan would be the largest internet user in the world - it is currently one behind US.

The Taliban, should it still exist, will gain power in the Middle East. Hamas would grow braver in their attacks against Israel. Iran will probably destroy Israel.

UK would take America's place as the world leader.

Nothing would change in Australia.

Fail? Fail at what, yes we have been in a state of degeneration, but you need to be a little more specific than that

Remember states still have the option to form their own countries if the US goes down, I imagine something like that happening if we do get to the point of civil unrest or destruction of government

Edit:America going from Superpower and global leader to supporting country and global contributor is not failing, countries rise and fall, if we lose our imperial influence it doesnt mean our destruction

America has failed.

The economy, look at the mess its in.

The war that they and England can't get out of, thanks to America, England rushed into save them and help, we're in a mess too now that could've been avoided.

Obama isn't really doing anything to help either.

Without America controlling half the planet, I think the world would be a better place, in all honesty.
