moving to North Carolina?
My husband and I are thinking of moving to North Carolina in a few months. What are some good towns, where are good schools etc. I have been thinking of Greensboro -is it a nice, safe area? Schools are important as we have a young child

Greensboro is a great place, especially if you're looking for an urban area. Personally, I like Charlotte more. It's classier, cleaner, but it also has a fun downtown with plenty to do (not to mention, the Panthers play in Charlotte, as do the Bobcats). Winston-Salem, Raleigh, and Asheville are wonderful, too.
NC is a very diverse state and is generally divided into three regions: mountains, piedmont, and coastal. You should narrow it down starting there, thinking about what environment you'd like to live in. From there, find a town city in that region (mountain = Asheville, Boone. Fletcher; Piedmont = Charlotte, Salisbury, Raleigh, Winston-Salem; Coastal = Greenville, Wilmington). Also keep in mind that aside from a handful of cities, much of NC is relatively rural -- developed, yet small and not-so-urban.
Moving to NC does guarantee a few things: great, Southern food, culture, and the nicest people you'll ever meet.
