How do you approach the night?

When you look into the sky midnight,

Do you see darkness or the lights?

Are you filled with hope or filled with fright?

Does darkness make you feel all right,

Or do you clamor for greater sight?

Do stars and planets make you bright,

Or are they just road signs through the heights?

Or is it cloudy where you live?

The night is beauty. It almost takes you back to the time of animal instinct when you have to rely on your senses to tell you whether its safe or not. Darkness does conceal things but that's not such a bad thing. For those that consider themselves recluses its a haven. The only thing I don't like about the night is the artificial light. You can barely see the stars where I live :(

What I really love is how whenever I take my 3 yr old son outside especially after dark, his first instinct is to look up and find the moon. "Daddy, I see the moon, I see the moon!" And then he'll start to count stars. I love it. I kind of approach it the way my son does, except I don't count the stars :) The universe is amazing.

    I see the lights.

    Hope..a sense of joy..

I feel more comfortable when its dark..with a clear sky and stars.

    I dint get the question?..

I don't see any planets(with the naked eye?..who does!?)..but yeah..I do like the sight of stars.

    Road signs??..nope.

    It is sometimes cloudy..

ok. so what's the point of this question??...like is it some kinda survey or something?..

    Quickly, with haste.

    Lights.

    Hope.

    The sight thing I think.

Umm getting kinda weird, I learned celestial navigation in the Navy.

Yea it is cloudy out here, hope it does not rain, last weekend of deer season.

The same way I approach the day. I'll do my best to enjoy it and hope to learn something along the way.
