Would you accept Gold and Silver coins?
Would you accept US gold and silver coins at daily spot price by weight for goods or services.

No. It would necessitate that I go to school to learn a completely new trade (that of weighing gold, identifying real gold vs. counterfeit, etc.) and that I keep an eye on the spot market. Or, as a business owner, it would require me to hire someone with said skill-- needlessly adding another person to the payroll who wasn't necessary when I was doing business in standard currency.

No. I'm not qualified to judge what's real and what's fake and I would have no interest or incentive to learn. I'd rather just accept standard currency.
