Yes, I like this site, and yes, it has definitely changed my life. I discovered YC (the German YA site) in 2006 when I did a Google search on a problem - the helpful answer came from YC. I checked the platform, signed up, and when I discovered that I could also participate on the pages of foreign YA sites because I speak English too (mostly self taught), it broadened my horizon. Not only did I get infos about different cultures, but sometimes I stumble upon intriguing questions which let me learn a lot by doing lengthy research. Meanwhile this little old grandma (me) is the leader of the board in her home country, but what is much more important to me are the friends from all over the world - Germany of course, but also the US and Bangladesh, and where some of my contacts reside I don't even know...:-) And you know what? In most cases it doesn't matter, I regard them all as part of my very special international family. I only wish that more people would take the time to learn a 2nd language, because that would enable them to get in touch with different cultures. And how can you hate other cultures and their people once you understand them?

Hey you! Y!A has made me an addict!! Seriously, it made me open up a little and that is quite an accomplishment. Some people have touched my heart by being open, honest, sweet, supportive, funny, have great poles, or simply there with the right thing to say at the right moment. I don't know if I've changed as a person, but if I have, I can only be a little better.
