How a father can tell his parents about his daughter?

I have a 3 year old daughter. Her father lives across the country. He still hasn't told his parents. His parents know about her and want to meet her. But I what him to tell them. Any idea on how he can tell them?

I am not sure why you are asking the question. If the parents already know about her, and want to meet her, then take her to see them. you can't make anyone do anything they don't want to so why are you being a control freak and isisting that he tell them about her first? You are not responsible for his choices, only yours. How do they already know about her? They are her grandparents. Don't use a child to manipulate other people, just take her to see them. He's just a coward, and doesn't want to own up. Should your daughter be deprived of grandparents because of it? He is the one missing out.

I dont know what it is exactly you are asking here.

I mean, if the parents already know of your daughter and want to meet her, then why does he need to tell his parents?

Has the father had anything to do with his daughter or even accepted the fact that she is his? Maybe you are trying to get him to face facts and admit to his parents he is the father?

All I can think of is for you to contact the father and mention to him that his parents know they have a granddaughter whom they wish to meet, and you think it is only right for him to go with you to introduce your daughter. He would have to make contact with his parents then, and in doing so, will be confirming that they have a granddaughter and he is indeed the father.

    Hope this helps a bit

  • If your daughter is three years old and her father still hasn't informed his parents that he has a child there is a serious problem. It raises questions such as does he not wish to claim her? What is the true reason he hasn't told them? As for breaking the news, he needs to just come clean. Having a child is a great responsibility, and part of taking on that responsibility is facing fears, such as telling his parents seem to be one of his.

If he knows they know then whats the big deal. If he knows they know he probably figures why tell them. Let them come meet her and the whole thing will be over with and problem solved.

And the reason you had a baby with this irresponsible child is....? Seriously, why does it matter what the sperm donor's parents know or don't know? Your kid only knows that she doesn't have a daddy.
