I know it was never official, but anyone know why BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez at UFC 105 has been ruled out?
People complained about UFC 102 having a weak card which I disagreed with.
UFC 105 however is looking slightly thin, Penn vs Sanchez at least would have made it interesting. However I am hearing that this title fight will not happen then, but I have not heard a reason yet.
Is it because it is free on Spike? Can Sanchez not travel? Do they want to give the spotlight to Bisbing again?

It's all going to be speculation, although BJ has previously said he will never fight in the UK again. Would the UFC still force him to go there against his will? Who knows. And I cannot say that this is the reason it is not happening, that is just what he has said earlier.

It hasn't been ruled out yet. The UFC is just not announcing it for a specific time yet. They are looking at using that fight on a card that will counter Fedor's debut on Strikeforce. So they are waiting for Strikeforce to announce their card first. Also, Dana said it won't be on ppv or on Spike which has a lot of people guessing a network deal has finally been signed. Just wait and see when it is announced and what happens.

There is some rumors of Sherk vs Penn at 108 but I doubt it because of Sherks loss at 98

Why would they give away probably their biggest and best lightweight fight ever for free?
Anyone know why Penn said that about the UK?
