What amp do I need (car audio noob)?

buying a pair of http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_de...

what kind of amp do I need, and does anyone have a suggestion for a non extremely expensive amp that fits these.

Also, theyre going into an 07 mustang alongside the shaker 500w system, and i will be leaving the original audio connected as is for now, so the amp won't be powering anything but the woofers

These subs are 600 RMS and dual 4 ohm so they can be wired to 1 ohm

I just bought the MTX JH1200 which is only 250 bucks and is 1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm....that would be a perfect amp for those subs.

Ok look the amps mentioned by the other users are great choices but Let me give you the low down on soundstream amplifiers. Some people claim that they have gone down in performance but I have personally dealt with the PCA1000D and PCA1500D models and they performed phenominally!!...If you do a search on ebay you will see there picasso line, stealth line,etc...They are the same in specs Just different looks. What I like about soundstream are there "Twin Stack" capabilities...This means you can actually bridge or use TWO amplifiers together on one sub or a pair...Basically if you have 2 - 600 watts amps or 2- 1000 watt amps. The 2 - 600 watt amps together would thus make a 1200 watt toatal load and the 2-1000 watt amps would make a 2000 total power factore.....you can combine both to create ONE single load/power.

This is so convenient when upgrading or adding more subs. Its a neat extra feature...If you want a great amp for the price try this model http://cgi.ebay.com/Soundstream-Picasso-PCX1500D-S...

And if thats too expensive drop down to this model http://cgi.ebay.com/SOUNDSTREAM-STL1-1200D-CAR-STE...

you may run as many subs as you % from a mono amplifier, as long as you undergo in innovations 2 issues: a million. you may save the perfect load impedance above the minimum pronounced impedance for the amplifier, and a pair of. The amp's ability output would be divided between all the subs. So in case you have a mono amp rated for 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms, you need to connect 2 4-ohm subs in parallel and each and each sub would get 250 watts at rated ability.
