I assume you are speaking of Rosemary Kennedy, who underwent a lobotomy at the age of 23. She was a sister of both Eunice Kennedy Shriver and John F. Kennedy and suffered from violent mood swings so her father gave doctors permission to perform a lobotomy on her. Unfortunately, the operation had disastrous consequences and she regressed into an infant-like state and spend the rest of her life in mental institutions.
