Heard wicked rumour today that Heatley AND Hossa are coming to Edmonton!?
Holy Toledo! I heard from good source today that Heatley is coming for Horcoff, Penner, Brule, and picks. And, in same rumour If Heats comes, then Hossa will sign with Oilers too!!
Any thoughts??

I've heard they are close to a deal with Ottawa for Healtey and that it involves Penner.
But that's all I've heard, I think the Hossa part may be wishful thinking, there's a lot of teams looking at Hossa, Havlat and Gaborik. But who knows, time will tell...
Source(s): EDIT: Yes I know they'd have to give much more than Penner, all I'm saying is Penner is the only name I heard involved at this point. Although now I'm hearing Penner, Smid and a prospect. But they better hurry, word is the the Rangers and Sharks may make a last minute offer for Heatley too. EDIT 2: UPDATE: Sources say Dany Heatley has been asked to waive his no-trade clause to go to Edmonton in exchange for Andrew Cogliano, Dustin Penner and Ladislav Smid. Chief, Oilers would have to give up something more for Heatley; prospect (Reddox?) or a pick. Heatley is a bonafide producer, Penner is not. Or maybe Stortini, since the Sens need an enforcer now that Neil and, possibly, McGratton is going.

They're going to replace 3 players with two players that will combined command over $13 million? Yeah, let's see the link to this. This "wicked rumour" is probably just that--a rumor. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they got one of those players, or Gaborik.
