What's the dumbest TV commercial you can remember (that DIDN'T star Billy Mays)?

The dumbest one I can recall is the time the Quaker Oats Company decided to make Popeye their spokesman.

The commercial started off with him singing a revised version of his famous song; the new version went...

"I'm Popeye the Quaker man, I eats all the oats I can..."

I still cringe when I think about that commercial! Thankfully, it went as quickly as it came (probably because the very idea of Popeye deciding to eat oats instead of spinach was so jarringly preposterous that it likely had an immediate adverse impact on Quaker's sales).

Can you top "Popeye the Quaker man" for dumbest TV commercial? Give it your best shot.

(If possible, please stick to spots that aired at least regionally and try not to give obvious examples like Burger King's disastrous "Herb" spots. And remember: NO commercials with Billy Mays!!!)

    I hated the commercial about Ginzu Knives. The commercial said that Ginzu Knives were the sharpest knives you could buy and they came with a lifetime guarantee. And then, for a long time, that commercial disappeared. I actually saw a remake of this commercial on a cable channel just a few weeks ago. No ones buys Ginzu Knives because they are cheaply made, not sharp and they're a big rip-off. There are actually some stores who carry the items that claim to be sold only on television. And it's so dumb to think that consumers would actually believe that they could buy a decent set of kitchen knives for the amount that Ginzu was advertising. This commercial literally screams "Buyer Beware!" The commercial was dumb back then and the new commercial is even dumber.

    The dumbest commercial on television these days that I think is stupid is the Jack In the Box Mini-Sirloin Burgers. It shows shows Shelties and mini-cowboys herding mini-size cows. Everything except Jack sitting around the campfire is miniature and it's so stupid. Sure, I really believe that mini-sirloin burgers come from mini-sized cows. Pffffttttt.

    Oh! And those Massengill Spring-Time Fresh douche commercials. C'mon, people! Not funny!

    The worst one I've EVER seen is this one Starburst commercial!

    I love starburst, but this commercial was so stupid!

    There was this dude and a llama and theyre both chewing, and then they show the llama and a dude's hand reaches up and feeds him a starburst. Then they show the dude and a llama hoof reaches up and feeds him a starburst. And then they are both chewing.

    Then it shows the credits along the bottom and it says nothing else!

    The commercial was completely pointless!

    The ones that makes me say "oooookay" are the "He went to Jerrod" commercials (jewelry store).

    EDIT: The Smiling Bob commercials are funny, in a "that's 30 seconds of my life I can't get back" type of way. OK, so at least I find him mildly amusing. : )

    Any commerical where people are yelling at me and those commercials where you really see the product presented.

    Especially hate the one's that increase the volume to the higest level, there should be a law.

    The commercial from a few years back..there were ostriches in a ladies dressing room..I can't remember what it was for though.. I remember it drove me nuts though..

    .... well i was going to go with that "slap chop" wanker ... but you bring up a good point.

    Although, the shamwow ads are pretty stupid also. And the snuggie ads ..... and those colon cleanse ads ..... the list could go on and on ad infinitum; no pun intended. :)
