Just wondering: are YOU a Preserver too?
These days, with so many entertainment outlets controlled by so few companies, the problem of media companies conditioning young people to ignore/avoid "old" movies, music and TV shows is worse than ever.
It seems like the big Media conglomerates are now conditioning young people to regard any entertainment made more than six months ago as "old" and reject it (the better to make them think the newest crap they're offering them is the greatest thing ever).
I'm immunising my nephew and nieces against this by showing them classic TV shows and listening to classic-rock music with them. I even used the "Addams Family" theme to teach them how to snap their fingers!
My older niece recently watched an episode of "Drake and Josh" in which the boys get a job at a sushi bar - and she recognised a scene as derivative of the "I Love Lucy" chocolate-factory scene.
Do YOU do this too? Do you show the youngsters in your lives how the "old" stuff is better?
Hey, Frank! Way-y-y cool! Pat Novak. Most people your age haven't a clue who Jack Webb even was! Great work, man!
I'm thinking of turning this into a full-fledged movement. Your thoughts?

Hey, I got every single Pat Novak For Hire episode on my mp3. I also have a copy of the original Nosferatu. When ecluding music, some of my older stuff are also things like 3 The Twilight Zone episodes, the ones in b&w cause I havent found any more, a bunch of random mystery Otr shows like Sherlock Holmes, the aforementioned Pat Novak, and even the CBS Radio Mystery Theatre shows.
Although I just turned 15, I have shown my brother how cool the otr shows used to be.

I'm 14, and half the crap the media comes out with and people buy is astonishing. Nothing is better than a little Jimi, Beach Boys or Beatles..Someboy will listen to a song they heard a month ago and say "Oh my God! That is such an old song..."

Just Wondering here:
I try to be but it feels like a losing battle. I consider it a victory though that I have got my niece hooked on some of the stuff that has been around before the days she was born.
Thanks for asking :)

definite that's accessible at your larger abode shops. Crate and Barrel, William Sonoma, mattress tub and previous and so on. that's usually for wine. you do no longer want this for whiskey nor any complicated liquor simply by fact the severe alcohol content textile retains it clean for years devoid of the will for this style of product. as long as you shop it faraway from easy and humidity complicated liquor can final for years on end on that is very own. No specific product required. this could be a rather stupid product in case you inquire from me. You and a chum can drink a bottle of wine in a night and whether on your very own you could drink a million/2 one night and a million/2 the subsequent night. purely drink the wine and don't concern approximately it.
