I went to my OBGYN for my annual and that it was the perfect time to ask him about my weird cycle.?
I told the Dr. that I think my cycles are irregular and may not be ovulating. He asked me the day of my last cycle. Which I provided. Then when I told he the length in between cycles he told me that was normal. In my opinion it's not normal. As far as ovulating he advised me to buy a kit and try it for 3 months and if nothing happens to come back to his office. I am very unhappy and feel that my questions were not answered. My cycle dates below indicate something could be wrong:
Jan 5th
Feb 11
March 20
April 19th
My cycle for may has not come yet. So should I write a letter to his office and go to another doctor?

I've had odd periods for a few years now- sometimes I'd be 11-15 days later than the average 28 days. I was beginning to think something might be wrong as well, but since I didn't have incredibly heavy or painful periods, I didn't worry too much about it. I just got to the point where I stopped wondering if I might be pregnant & waited it out.
But as I am now 34 weeks pregnant with twin boys, I'm pretty positive that I was ovulating! My doctor also explained the signs of ovulation, as I had an ovarian cyst almost a year before I conceived. He said that ovulation sometimes cause irritation when you have a cyst, and so I learned to look for the signs of when I was ovulating. I could tell you every time.
It looks like you just have a 30-35 day cycle to me. I wouldn't worry too much about it- you just get some extra period-free days. But if you're trying to conceive, I'd try what your doctor said. See if it works, go back to him, and if you still aren't satisfied with his answer, find another doctor.
Good luck!

Your cycles do look within the normal range.
Jan 5th to Feb 10th-37 days
Feb 11-March 19th-37 days
March 20th-April 18th-30 days.
Women's cycles are not exactly 28 days every single month. You are possibly ovulating later than you think you are some cycles. Last month I ovulated on day 16, with a 15 day luteal phase. That makes my cycle 31 days. This month I ovulated on day 14. I am 12 days past ovulation and should get AF within a few days.
Why not try charting your morning temperature for 3 months while you are doing the ovulation predictor kits? Then you can see if you got a clear temperature reading and a thermal shift after you ovulate.

What would a letter accomplish? Then you would have to go to a Dr. that doesn't like you.
Find a new Doctor.
Your cycle is normal. Very few people are 28 days exactly. I was always 26. My daughter's cycle is 30 days.
Besides, having a irregular cycle does not mean that you do not ovulate.

He's your OBGYN for a reason. Your cycles are not abnormal. But if you are that concerned, you should go to another doctor. Since it sounds like you don't trust him?

That's pretty normal especially if you're under stress. I'm also having the same situation. My OBGYN prescribed me to take Pre-Mens. You can ask your OB as well maybe it's something you need.
