'70s Instructional Television shows?
Anyone remember these programmes:
- Bread & Butterflies
- Images and Things
- L4
- Ripples
how about a civics show called By The People (not to be confused with the project PBS started in 2002). In the show I'M referring to, a class of high-school students gets involved in the democratic process by running (or pretending to run) a campaign for a County Council seat.

Two of the shows you mention are still being distributed by the Agency for Instructional Technology (AIT) on VHS and DVD as part of its AIT Classics collection (a link to the AIT website is below).
There is an underground of tape traders who collect such shows (AIT, TV Ontario, et. al) but tracking them down requires some hunting around.
BTW: I do remember seeing all but "L4" on my local public TV station way back when.
