Do you know any CEO's who lost their jobs?

Investing in Spring

Springtime is coming,

by its side

rejuvenation

Certain hearts are able to

feel it

inside the walls

the fragile walls

of their purity

While Masters of the Universe stand

empty

weeping beside the rubble

of their crumbling castles

fallen to ruin

before their unbelieving eyes

Some would say this bitter irony

is just reckoning,

just judgment come to pass

like an executioner’s sword

through the neck

of a murderer

of children

But back to spring,

for it is coming and

by its side

rejuvenation;

and we,

we the pure

we the real

will be there

with our brooms and our shovels

to clean up the mess you have made

upon our broken streets

you once said

you would pave for us

in gold.

Update:

with a thank you to Tom Wolfe for the Masters of the Universe metaphor

Update 2:

Granny: both 'just's are in the deserved/justice sense of the word, and repeated it for effect, both alliterative and to hammer the point a little bit.

The change in POV was also done on purpose, bringing the reader onto the right(?) side of things; good catch though, few bother to read as closely as you.

a reckoning(?).....Elaine wouldn't like you using 'just' here, though she would not be able to argue with 'just judgement'

    I like this very much.

One small quibble you start the poem refering to the Masters of the Universe in the third person, and at the end you use the second person. Was that intentional?

i think of if I beleived the CEO became into as selfish and that a lot of an financial traitor, it may make a extensive difference. i could vote my perception besides, yet i could be scared to dying i could lose my interest if the organisation closes..... on the different hand, i could attempt to get the CEO fired first. in certainty, if there's a CEO and not in basic terms an proprietor, the board could see in high-quality condition to have him fired if in any respect a possibility, regardless of each and everything, their pay could be affected to, precise?

I like this. I also did watch Masters of the Universe! Power does have a way of crumbling. Still the Spring always comes, replete with clean up days!

    Nice write!

Your Q--yes. 30 years in human resources and they kicked him and the other 8 in that office to the curb. He landed a job as a prof only to loose that because he didn't have a masters for teaching...the students all said they learned more from him than the book but the rules.....

    Again, Nice Write this!

    Your Q, no.

Back to spring is what keeps us all going, or at least keeps me going.

    Enjoyed the read.

I like this very much, but I think you better get out heavy equipment,

    like bulldozers, and other loaders.
