How did Danny Gokey's wife die (Amer. Idol Season 8)?

Just curious when and how Danny Gokey's wife passed away. It was mentioned on American Idol, Season 8 Top 36 this week. Incidentally, I am glad he made it through and hope he makes it to the top.
