Hey there, so based on what I've read, you would want to study in depth a subject related to economics right?I'm an economics major myself and the following are my opinions:

    1. Finance - it would be very timely for you take finance, especially with the crisis we are experiencing right now. Obviously this will land you a job in banks etc. AND I highly doubt that you'll run out of jobs especially if you get good grades. People with a background of finance are in demand now a days especially the younger ones with fresh and innovative approaches in to the financial sector.Plus I think it will be an exciting venture with our economy's very volatile shape. You can always expect for something more.

    2. Econometrics- generally econometrics is helpful in research work.In terms of jobs, you can end up in any corporation. Your focus will be of course with statistics etc...but it might be highly theoretical in the case of students. So if you want real application of this, you might have to wait until after you graduate. You might also have to learn about programming here.

    3. Mathematical Economics - imagine majoring in Mathematics, only you are studying formulas and techniques relative to economics. Since you will be studying this in depth, meaning your matrices will be of hundreds of variables. Most likely you will be taught programming and manipulation of mathematics in the computer for an improved and more advanced look into economics(which we know is composed of more than a hundred variables.).

    4. After choosing your course, try to look up your universities in the THES-QS university rankings. From there you might find the optimal choice for your masters.

    Good luck!

Check out your school's requirements for the majors you're interested in. I'd suggest taking intro or survey business and science in your general ed requirements to find out what you really love and are good at. You don't usually have to decide a major until junior year at university - that's still 4 years away. You may just be falling behind because the class is more advanced than your current level, or because you have a hard teacher. And no, just because you're behind in this class does not mean you will in other classes in similar departments.
