o.k. I have a ??, but don't know where to go?

I am on e.i. (been a long time since I was on it)--well except for maternity leave--which is WAY different.

I am in Canada. I just found out that I have to attend one of their meetings, what to bring etc. Man the chick I talked to on the phone yesterday was such a b with a big ITCH.

She is telling me that because I do not have a babysitter in place, I do not qualify for e.i.

Yes, I'm still looking for work (not very hard tho). My husband is in school (full time). Some days he doesn't get home until after 7p.m.! So I haven't been looking too too hard.

I didn't realize that I had to have a babysitter in order to collect. Now she's telling me that I have to report that I was UNWILLING, UNABLE ETC. to work next week.(even tho I am looking< I didn't think I had to leave the house to look for work!!--I mean hello job bank, and phone book. If they're not hiring, I'm not wasting my gas bringing a resume in) So I get $0.00 for next week. Merry f&*in' ho ho.

Here's my prob---I DON'T HAVE A BABYSITTER!!!!!

I don't even have anybody here I can ask to babysit, cuz I don't really know/trust anybody. I don't have anything to do with my family (except my sis who works full time), and my husbands family all live out east (or like 2 1/2 hrs drive away).

How do I keep my cool on the 19 when I go and see this chick....I don't want to blow my e.i. I can't afford to.

I don't know how they expect me to go OUT and look for a job. With the price of gas these days, I don't go far.

I get $84 a week from e.i. BIG WHOOPY DEAL!!!! Still, it pays for diapers, and SOME food.

So I can't really afford to pay a babysitter just to go out and look for a job. (hubby's on comp---yup, they're paying for him to go back to school and learn a new trade. can't do his anymore)

So, any suggestions on what I should do???
