Gen Set Zinc, eaten up, possibly blocking drain?
I'm working on 2001 Mod 8KW Kohler gen. the drain/plug on the heat exchanger has a zinc attached, or at least it should. I've got crud on the end of the plug. It hasn't been out ever. I can feel a blockage in hole. I'm not sure what I'm feeling. Is this a drain? Should I try to drill out crud? Or what? Mechanics only please!

If it is a piece of zinc there is no need to drill out. Take a torch on low heat and you can burn it out. Zinc will melt really fast without damaging other parts. This is how we get treaded zinc plugs out without drilling and possibly damaging threads.
