do you think the miley cyrus "vanity pics" are such a big deal if so why?

Tell me about it. I've lost count of the under 18's posting half naked of their pictures on myspace without their parents consents.She does everything alot of 15 year olds do, its just she's got thounsands of cameras following her.

Dont get be wrong alot of other 15 year olds dont do all that but there are alot who do. People need to get over it.

I feel sorry 4 the poor girl, but she really doesnt represent herself well.

Some of the photos were a bit wrong for a 15 year old star. Like the one with her and her dad's arm around her waist...That was pretty weird. The thing that made the pictures "big" was that Miley's poses were a bit...I don't know the word for it. I don't think it's slutty...But let me just say not for her age. I think the one where people think she's topless behind that rag or whatever is good and bad. Miley didn't mean for the picture to be so contraversal. I think it's pretty artistic and unique. I honestly don't see why people made such a big deal out of it. She's taken pictures on her own that are much worse than that, so...what's up with that? I think that people just wanted a reason to pick on her. It doesn't seem fair. On the other hand, the pictures of her flashing her bras and showing her mid-drift are completely wrong, and I blame her for it.

When people slam Miley so harshly for making an error in judgement,

I don't think she's a whore, ****, or anything like that. She's a 15 year old girl, trying to live her life.

GET OVER IT PEOPLE! she is a pretty girl who is growing up. she isnt going to stay a baby forever. society has such an issue with letting young stars growup and become their own person with their own idenity. the pictures were alittle mature but they were great in the same breath. i think of the naked body as art. and a photogragh is all in the manner it was taken. i dont know about you but i can tell the difference in pornograghy and a sexy but classy photo. her photos were in good taste but for society they were premature, thats life under the microscope. unfortuntley, she will never be able to make everyone happy. there will always be a critic, hypocrit, or a judge no matter what she decides to do. i think she should do whatever she is most comfortable doing and we the people need to accept her for who she is not what we think she should be. thanks tufftuff

I don't know really know what the big deal was. The pics were taken by the hugely famous photographer Annie Leibovitz who has been taking fashion shots of celebrities for over 30 years. There is a photo of Miley wrapped up in a sheet with her naked back on display. Apparently this was the one that shocked people most. I can't really understand their reaction myself. I saw the pic and thought it looked nice. :-)

Maybe because she was just fifteen then.

Miley Cyrus is also a role model to many young girls, whether she likes it or not. I wouldn't want my sisters copying that.

All that at 15 if it wasn't for abortions,the pill, and Disney's mandatory genital sewings she would break the record for the largest amount of illegitimate children born to one person. And lets not forget her parents, they deserve a book deal on how to properly raise a 'god fearin' 'christian' child who practices abstinence but still takes pictures of her self half naked with her camera phone.

I get like the whole "message" she's sending about it being art, and I honestly had no problem with it, until she started posting her nude pics.Her parents aren't even stopping her and that's killing me.Why would you want your child's career to be ruined because of a few pics. you didn't fix??

No. They are not a big deal. Her father was there and they aren't showing anything. And those of u that think the one with her dad is gross, should really look at the pick. Its cute. and her dad is really hottt...

I think it is inappropriate for a girl that is only 15 years old. I mean I guess it is her business. She is setting a really bad example for all the fans that are in love with her. She is just screwing her life up bit by bit.

I think they took it too far. I mean, of course it is inappropriate for a girl like her to take pictures like that. But, at least half of the girls her age take pictures like that. But it doesn't help that she is a great role model for younger children... and if they had seen her pictures, they might copy off her in the future.
