Was Kimbo Slice paid by UFC's Dana White to take a dive (causing EliteXC to tank)?

While everyone who suggests that the fight was fixed can't explain why EliteXC would want such a thing to happen - as one person put it "yah, they paid one of their top fighters to lose so that they'd go belly up", noone is speculating that it was Dana White who paid off Kimbo to take the dive.

Think about it - he sees all the backing that they've put into him, all the publicity about how if Kimbo loses, elite xc is going to crumble, and decides to try to make that happen. We all know Kimbo is ALL ABOUT the money; even he has said so. So Dana from UFC goes to him, offers him a million bucks and a contract with UFC once Elite tanks, and all he has to do is take a dive. Everyone wins.

Kimbo's face before the fight said it all - against Shamrock at least he could take the dive and have it not look to suspicious after the way that Ken was hyped by Elite XC (to make it seem like they hadn't just put up another tomato can). Instead they put up some guy outta nowhere, and he's gotta figure out a way to lose to this nobody and make it not look too obvious. He was freaked out.

Am I right?

    What would that accomplish?

EliteXC was losing huge amounts of money ($60 million in 2 years) even with Kimbo winning. He sucks and was going to lose to the 1st decent fighter he faced. When he goes down so does EliteXC.

Either way UFC is on top and EliteXC disappears within 1 year no matter how this fight turned out. Now that he lost they will be gone by Thanksgiving.

Honestly I just dont think Kimbos a good fighter. He's not a professionally trained fighter, just a tough street fighter and someone who has the tactics and strategy and fundamentals fo fighting will beat a bigger stronger person who is a street figher everytime.

I do agree the fight looked fake, that wasnt even a hard punch he was hit with to make him go down, although it was square in the jaw.

Also, this doesn't necessarily tank CBS fightrs although it does end Kimbos career. I saw kimbo in a video get beat by a cop in a gym. Kimbo inthe past was tough but fought other street fighters and bums not trained fighters.

NO. Dana White doesn't want anything to do with any other organization besides the UFC. He never liked Kimbo and stated BJ Penn would destroy him.

Kimbo got TKO'd. He just isn't a great fighter. He can beat C level fighters, nobody above that.

Dana is a little too smart for that. Elitexc isn't a credible threat at this point and Dana is a tightwad, that didn't happen.

Bimbo got dropped by a lightheavy weight fighter, who was released by the UFC because he wasn't any good.

It's like everyone has been saying for months. "Bimbo won't last a round with even an average UFC heavyweight"

you think dana white wants kibo in the UFC kimbo has been begging for contract and dana whote laughed in his face

What caused Kimbo to take a dive was running into a perfectly placed jab from Seth Petruzelli.

    End of story.

No. Kimbo is a backyard brawler. He sucks as a Mixed Martial Arts fighter. He was exposed as what every MMA person knew he already was.

I think Kimbo's lack of skill caused him to take a dive...

No, if he tanked the fight he'd be laying on the floor. Instead this is what happened

Double leg take down on the ref (unsucessful). That's how out of it he realy was.
