Have you ever been fired from a job ?

Nope i just up and quit! I worked at a Family Dollar back in the late 80's worked there for 6yrs, Thay could.nt keep a manager, and i did'nt wont the job, and in between mangers i had to open and close the store, put in long hours and i just got fead up! Walked out and yes i did draw unemployment.

Yes I was fired. I started working as a telemarketer. I was under a lot of stress from living with the in laws and they threatened to kick us out with our 2 week old baby. So at two weeks post-partum, I took a job. I couldn't meet their quota on my third day at work, so instead of training me, they fired me! Bastards! I did not receive unemployment.

Long Time ago,and got a great unemployment check...!!

I had 40 years with the Postal Service only job I ever had.

Yes. When I was a teenager I had someone else fill in for me at this retailer (hey, at least my shift was covered) and apparently, I did it so often that my boss was mad enough to fire me. Apparently I was contributing to someone's fat overtime paycheck.

Yes once, for taking a weekend off unplanned to attend my grandfathers funeral, but a week later they called and begged me to come back to work.

Once. My boss lied through her teeth and I told the truth. Since she was above me, she got to fire me. I was not eligible for benefits at that time.
