Lump under arm but practically on my back.?

Okay before everyone jumps on the breast cancer wagon, my question is this.. I went to a GP here in Spain, she referred me to a Dermatologist, I called to make an appointment, and of course she or he is on vacation until Sept. The lump itself is about the size of half a hardball. I want to go back to the Dr, but I want to go to the right kind..Just in case the dermatologist is the wrong kind ... I have no insurance here so will have to pay, that's no problem, but I don't want to keep paying to get referred. The lump is visible, but not red or discoloured..it's as if someone sliced me open and stuck in half a ball. It does not move, and isn't really painful, just uncomfortable if I lay on my right side in bed.. Any ideas which type of Dr I should actually be seeing?? Any Dr's out there with any suggestions.

i am not sure what size a hardball is..however about six years ago i had a lump,as you describe, about the size of half a golf ball, appeared in the middle of my back,,it was extremely painful ,for example when riding in a car ,train or bus,i had to sit leaning forward as i couldnt stand the pain of leaning back on the seats,i went to the doctor who sent me to a clinic in 3 months time,,,by which time it had disappeared alltogether, and feeling like a fraud the specialist told me these were common and if it appeared again i should contact him direct and he would cut it out, that was seven years ago and it hasnt been back again,,,my lump was very visible also and there was no discolouration either but not being a doctor i i cant say you have a similar problem to mine,,,best of luck with it tho,
