Billy Beane just needs to be kicked in the pants, period!

How many years now have the A's been saying they are "rebuilding" -- and how many years now do they keep trading away their top players?

How can you rebuild when you have a revolving door in your clubhouse and don't keep any solid core of players to build your team around?

I've been an A's fan for over 30 years, but I really am starting to lose interest. They've become nothing more than a farm team for the rest of the major leagues.

And yes, to answer your question, Ron Washington probably would have done a much better job than Geren.

Well, one thing is that Geren was the best man in Beane's wedding. And one of theories that I heard is that Beane thought Washington was a better coach than leader.

And people forget that Beane has kept this team going. Only one losing season since '99 despite being one of the poorer teams. I have been an A's fan since I was about 6 (1975). Look at Pittsburgh, Kansas City and the Reds as teams that haven't posted a winning record for a long while. Would you trade what Beane is doing for what those teams are going through.

One thing I have been doing is going to Stockton and watching the High A team of the A's. I have seen a great future for the A's and I think that they are building for the park in Fremont in four years.

And remember that back in the late 50's the Yankees used the old Kansas City A's as farm club. At least Beane gets good players in return in his trades
