In your local news?
I know this may not be a NASCAR question, but for my own reasons I wanted to post it here. Did you see the movie "Top Gun"? "Days of Thunder" in airplanes. Remember the bar/ restaurant in the movie? Maverick and Goose sang. Maveirck met "the girl". Maverick cried in his drink when he found out girl was leaving. "Hemlock is it?" It was Kansas City Barbeque here in San Diego. They filmed on location. It burnt Friday. Totally gutted. The piano appears to be salvageable but nothing else. Bummer eh?
I have noticed that many NASCAR fans on this forum have seen Days of Thunder and are also Top Gun fans. And most NASCAR fans are the people I prefer to hear from. So to the angry bitter people who want to chastize me for my choice of category, well, there you have it. And I'm sorry you are so miserable. I am in no way star struck. KC BBQ is famous for it's food and being in the movie. It's a historic landmark here in San Diego. Using the word "here" in that sentence makes it clear to any reasonably intelligent person that I live in the town where it's located. The scenes I remember most are Great Balls of Fire and the hemlock scene at the end. The Top Gun school in the movie used to be located here and if I am "struck" by anything or anybody, it's the reports every day of the local young men and women dying so that small people can act like fools. Now it is a Marine base. The fire started in the kitchen on a stove during lunch and spread quickly. Everyone got out ok.

I've seen bit's and pieces of days of thunder but none of the other ones. I have a good idea for you, if you post this in the movies category, you might get more answers.
