Why is it that all plant life appears green?

I know about chlorophyll. But why the colour green? Why not blue or red and any other colour? Is this about the Sun's wavelengths and the atmosphere?

Grass is green, all vegetable plants are green and yet the fruit is sometimes not green.

What they said above. The plants absorb red/blue spectrums and reflects the green back at us...but the plants choose this color through the evolutionary process because our sun is abundant in the red/blue spectrum. If (hypothetically) there were plants on other planets, depending on the sun for that solar system, the abundance of plant life could be blue or red.

Now, the fruit are multi colored to attract animals to them, and sweet so the animals will eat them. This helps the plant spread its genetic information further than having seeds drop right under the plant.

Chlorophyll absorbs light most strongly in the blue and red but poorly in the green portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, hence the green color of chlorophyll-containing tissues like plant leaves

Plants are green because chlorophyll is green. Chlorophyll is green because chlorophyll is strongly absorbent of blue and red light, thus it reflects more green than any other color of the visible spectrum.

only only no. Mars' atmosphere is a million% of earth's, so that's closer to a vacuum than something. prevalent temperature on Mars is -50C. And on a similar time as some areas of the equaltorial area might attain the mid young infants C, that's onlt very temporarily. So no liquid water. IF there is existence there (microbial at perfect), it would be placed close to old volcanic vents and geysers and deep underground, properly out of how of the tough UV ladened solar. yet this may well be a brilliant if.

Not all plant life is green.

because plant cells contain chloroplasts which are green from the sun, but fruit cells are lacking clorophyll but contain a different pigment
