pelvic congestion syndrom? i have what?

can some one please help me, i need some more information i tried googling but i have specific questions, andi don't like the answers my doctor gives.

I just turned 21, i've been married for 10 months, we are not ready for a child yet, the doctor said the only real way to get rid of the pain is with a historectomy!!! im 21!!.....

Will having a child with PCS be overly painfull? not the labour part, but the 9 months leading up to it, i m a full bladder is semi painfull right noe.

is it okay to wait?

Sex is painfull for me, will it become worse?? over time? after pregnency?

I wanted to have 2 kids, and adopt 2. is 2, 2 many

I have a very petite frame, will that affect the amount of pain during pregnency?

Im not on Birth Control right now become it affects my emotions, my doctor recommened going on it to help reduce the pain, but i had pain when iwas on it before.

I am going to make an appointment with a different doctor, the first one was a specialst,

for now please help

Hysterectomy is Not the only answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I read, venous embolization is a treatment for it; though 1 risk is going into menopause.

Don't know if a pregnancy would be painful...I don't think being petite will affect a pregnancy.

I would get the treatment before I got pregnant...get a consultation with a "high risk" GYN MD & talk about what it would be like to be pregnant with the syndrome or if you should get it treated 1st. What are the risks of each?

If you want to wait, you can try a different birth control pill; an IUD; diaphragm; condoms; etc.

If you're not ready to have a child yet, don't...it would be a terrible mistake to have a baby your not ready for.

Investigate teaching hospitals & find a MD who doesn't believe in hysterectomies...but has done this procedure a lot.

Ask what percentage of times an embolization has turned into a hysterectomy.

    Good luck to you both.
