if they are United States citizens then no. If they are citizens of another country, they will need a passport to get here, and if you go to any boarder or place where IDs are checked within the US. Generally IDs are not checked going from state to state once you are in the USA.

If you are a US citizen, your children won't need a passport to go anywhere within the United States. If you and family are NOT United States citizens, everyone will need a passport to fly into this country and visit.

NOBODY needs a passport to travel domesitcally. not kids, not adults, no one. children under the age of 18 and flying within the usa are not required to show any form of identification. besides a birth certificate is NOT an acceptable form of ID as far as the TSA is concerned. ages 18+ flying within the usa are supposed to show a government issued photo ID. obviously a passport works but so does a driver's license or non driver's state ID.

I hope you are not a US citizen, because if you are, I would be embarrassed, and you need to sign up for grade school again. If you are foreign, then it's ok.
