Wondering About Installing 98 via floppy over NT Server Edition?

Okay, in my grade 11 engineering class, we have been taking apart computers to see how they work, and then putting them back together again. I have had alreadly had experience with this so I knew what to take out and not tot take out. Most computers were second hand, and had 2000 on them, except for mine which was very, very interesting. I had a computer with a version of NT Server Edition, it also had a AGP 4x card, and Sound Card, SCISI Drive, a ATA Hard Drive, CD and Floppy, and surprisingly a Tape Drive. My teacher who is wonderful at her job, also surprised all of us since she only had boot floopies for 98 and not 2000. She wants us to find ways of installing and reformating the computer for 98. I downloaded DBAN but she wants a reformat not a wipe, so how will I reformat the NFTS drives to FAT 32, and what is the easiest possible way of doing so. Also since these are second hand, mine has a persons account on it, and she and I can't get a run box for pass reset.

Thanks

Ken

when you boot on the floppy, you'll have to run fdisk to delete the existing ntfs partition.

Once you do that, create a primary fat32 partition in fdisk also, then format the partition back in dos.

then you can continue with the rest of the install.

there IS a way you can reset a password on a nt box without knowing it. Theres a cd you can download and boot from that will set the admins password to blank.

email me if you want more about this.
