You are only being naive if you choose to join GDI solely based on the hype. It does not meet my interests so I can not give you the pros and cons. I can say this, many of these traditional marketing tactics like seen in the link you provided are far too common in MLM and are set up for the "naive." It is important to understand what causes failure in this type of marketing and how to avoid it prior to getting involved. If you can study the industry and this type of marketing you will understand. I have a couple of links to facts and tools in my profile that relate to the industry as a whole.
