when you get your board, any brand of trucks will do. Since you are a beginner, any pro or blank deck at your local skateshop will be okay. the wheels and bearings don't matter until you start doing hard tricks like flips. get a deck size about 7.5 because it will last you a long time. don't ever get a board form walmart, big5, or any sporting goods unless its world industries or angelboy. The other ones break easily, have horrible bearings, and last only about half a year while pro decks should be in good shape for at least 2 years. when you get more advanced you can get better brands that will improve your skating.ask any employee at your local skateshop and they should help you.
when starting out, get the feel of your board. I recommend holding onto some thing in the garage while pushing yourself along. Don't be embarrassed about wearing pads, they will save you from scrapes and bruises in a fall.
don't worry about what you wear. just get skate shoes because it will help you. if you don't wear skate shirts, its okay. i mean, tony hawk would be just as good in pink sweats!!!
be brave, do tricks when you are comfortable and good luck!!! email me if you have any questions!! :)
