Need input on buying a Saturn, is there any haggling over price or just pretty much priced as shown?

In general Saturn has adopted a "No Haggle" pricing system. This doesn't mean that you can't negotiate your trade or APR. Generally a good APR isn't compatible with a large rebate if any of the rebate at all and you can often get a great APR my obtaining your own financing either through your credit union or other lending institution and still take advantage of the rebate. You won't get 0% but if you get something like 1.9%, even as high as around 4% and take the rebate as well you will save money over the life of your term. Just make sure you do your research before you go and don't let them bully you into things you don't need like credit life and any kind of prep package or customer care package. Unless you are putting down more than 15% of the vehicle though ALWAYS ALWAYS get GAP insurance. You never know what can happen and don't want to be stuck paying for something you can't even drive. Hope this helps!

Unless things have changed in the past 2 years, there is no "haggling" per se, but you can negotiate a better trade in value if you are trading in. We have bought 3 Saturns in the past 10 years, and on the last one were able to avoid some of the "destination charges" by picking it up from the main location ourselves (they didn't have what we wanted in stock at our local dealer). Be sure to check the Saturn/GMC sites for "cash incentives" and or the current finance rates before you go, sometimes they can/cannot be combined and those are decisions you don't want to be making on the spot at the dealership. Good luck!

Check www.edmunds.com. They'll tell you what the typically sell for in your area. Other than that, Saturns don't get the best reviews these days, so you may want to check out some competitve brands (Honda, Mazda, Toyota ,etc.). Their resale value is mediocre too. Good luck.

Saturn doesn't haggle...you pay sticker. Just check on current rebates or incentives before you go in.
