What songs do you want to hear the Idols do for Neil Diamond night?

Here's my picks...

DAVID A - "I'm A Believer" (Monkees' cover)

We already know that he can sing ballads very well, but I'd like to hear him do something a little more upbeat this week and this would be the perfect song for "Archie".

DAVID C - "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon" (Urge Overkill cover from Pulp Fiction)

Great Rock cover which would be perfect for his style. Sure to be another strong performance from Cook.

JASON - "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"

This just seems to be the perfect song for Jason. And if he did it and nailed it, it could be his comeback and give him another amazing performance like "Hallelujah".

BROOKE - "September Morn"

it's a beautiful song and if she could pull it off (and remember the lyrics :p), she could redeem herself for last week.

SYESHA- "I Am, I Said"

the song has kind of a Broadway feel to it that should suit Syesha's voice and style well.

Update:

actually I would've loved to have heard Michael do "Sweet Caroline". I think the song would've suited his voice and style perfectly, but,sadly, he isn't there anymore :(. But I'm sure David Cook could rock it too, though, so that's my second pick for him.

I also would've loved to hear Carly do "Love On The Rocks".

Actually, Neil Diamond sang "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" too (so did The Osmonds). But you're right, he didn't write it. It was written by songwriters Bobby Scott and Bob Russell (I did do my research). I just thought the song would suit his style. But since David A will most likely do a ballad like "Hello Again", how about I give Jason "I'm a Believer"? I could hear him doing that one. And since,unfortunately,Michael isn't there to do "Sweet Caroline", let's give it to David C. I would love to hear that song,actually,and think David could rock it too.

    I would like to see David Cook sing "America" or Forever in Blue Jeans." I can see David A. singing, "Hello Again." I'll nominate "Solitary Man" for Jason.     Ruby has got a Point Why would anyone leave out Sweet Caroline by the way what Jason choose this week wasn't even sang by Neil Diamond anyway It was sang by The Hollies in 1969 looks like someone needs to look more carefully next Time Shame on them.

    I only know one song & thats I'm A Believer. Plus I agree. I really want David Archuleta to sing something other then a ballad. & if he does thats okay as long as he does amazing as usual. It wouldn't hurt to try something new though.
