How can I remove this adware or pop-up called"Ads Served by adssite"?

have ran search and destroy and ad-aware and it obviously has not taken care of this issue.I was dumb and i downloaded something that i thought was something else and it wasnt what i thought it was this game thing that also had this adssite thing with it. So i know that is where the issue has come from. I have looked in add and remove programs and i see nothing in there. I just dont know how to get rid of this issue.

I will get pop ups and up at the time every time it says Ads served by adssite.Any advice would be appreciated.

What would happen if i went and did a system restore? Would that take care of it?
