Depression?

Hi. I am depressed now it's been almost a year. From time to time I still have some down moment which i'm getting use to it. I started out with paxil but it didn't help and now i'm on Welbutrin and I stopped it because they weren't helping me. Now I'm on no medication. Before I went on these medication I was a very patient person but now I don't have a lot of patience. I tried to work on it but it's still the same. I was just wondering why I don't have patience like before? Is this a stage of depression? Thanks!

Not so much a stage, as a symptom or result. If medication is not working for you, try the book below. It may help with your patience issue too. Keep plugging away. It took me a while, but I came completely through it.

Pls if u think ur depressed and u know ur not yourself go back to the doc. Antidepressants are like trying on new shoes u have to try a few until one fits right. Dont let it get on top of u (speaking from experience) 1 year is a long time already so it does not look like it will go away by itself.

I believe meds can only do so much they are like a bandaid in many ways u still have to get down to the bottom of your depression if u have issuses that needs to be talked about and sorted through. When i had clinical depression i had np patience for anything of anyone and i would hide myself away behind my house walls. I wasted 2.5 years of my life with the illness just coz i did not know what to do or where to turn but then i get on the net and started researching my illness and i started seeing a social worker and got on the right meds but i still had to do the hard work and sort out my issues for myself and i have and I feel i have beaten it and u can too.

try to convince yourself that you are an interesting person, i'm sure uou are.

just, find things you are good at

try to establish some goals (important for you), and try to reach them. this will give you a reason

to fight, and act to make changes

try to be proud of yourself, and about actions you are doing to reach your goals, and about

    successes

Hypnosis can be usefull, there is some books talking about auto-hypnosis,

It can be done by a "serious" doctor, knowing this technique

    make sport

    good luck

Depression in itself, makes a person very aggitated and easily upset. Its not you, its your depression. I would recommend going back to your doctor and seeing if they could up your dosage of depression medication

    Good luck!♥
