I always got similiar mails,was this true?

I got a mail :

"FROM THE DESK OF MR USMAN LAMINE

BANK OF AFRIC (B.O.A).

OUAGADOUGOU BURKINA-FASO WEST AFRICA

PLANE CRASH WEB SITE...( http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/859479.stm )

I AM (MR USMAN LAMINE ) THE HEAD OF FILE DEPARTMENTIN BANK OF AFRICA (B.O.A). IN MY DEPARTMENT WE DISCOVERED AN ABANDONED SUM OF $1.5 MILLION U.S.A DOLLARS (ONE MILLION FIVE THOUSAND U.S.A DOLLARS). IN AN ACCOUNT THAT BELONGS TO ONE OF OUR FOREIGN CUSTOMER(MR. KURT KAHLE FROM GERMANY) WHO DIED ALONG WITH HIS ENTIRE FAMILY IN (MONDAY, 31 JULY 2000) IN A PLANE CRASH (AF4590).

SINCE WE GOT INFORMATION ABOUT HIS DEATH, WE HAVE BEEN EXPECTING HIS NEXT OF KIN TO COME OVER AND CLAIM HIS MONEY BECAUSE WE CANNOT RELEASE IT UNLESS SOMEBODY APPLIES FOR IT AS NEXT OF KIN OR RELATION TO THE DECEASED AS INDICATED IN OUR BANKING GUIDELINES, BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE LEARNT THAT ALL HIS SUPPOSED NEXT OF KIN OR RELATION DIED ALONG SIDE WITH HIM AT THE PLANE CRASH LEAVING NOBODY BEHIND FOR THE CLAIM"...etc

    you still believe -if it was true would not some relative of mr usman have claimed it by now.

    the you have won the lottery scam as been sold to ghana this is the next generation scam

    This is a SCAM. I answer many questions on this subject every day and always direct the questionnaire to the below link for confirmation of various email scams hitting the internet including the famous Yahoo/MSN lottery scams and how to report them.

    No - delete it and ignore any similar ones you get. They fakes. They are trying to get money from you. Many people have been ripped off by scams like this - sometimes for very large amounts of money.
