What does it take to become an internet service provider?

To become an actual ISP and not a Server? ISP you would need to open a buisness name, get federal regulation's to transmit info accross state line's, pay a fee to use the line's, and alot more. It take's millions of dollor's to become an Internet Service Provider. That's why Cable Companies and Telephone Companies usually have option's to add Internet services to your account. They already have the line's its a matter of adding the baudwith to the line's to get you connected.
