I don't have a Downloads folder for Sims 2 Deluxe, can anyone help?
I have Windows Vista also and I'm not sure if that's the problem or what but my files are completely different to what everyone else seems to have (what I saw on game screenshots anyway). Under "The Sims 2 Deluxe" it has 'Base', 'EP2' and 'Support' and when I click on these it becomes even more cryptic.
I tried what someone recommended, making my own Downloads folder, but it won't take any files. Does anyone have any idea of what I should do?

Yes, run Bodyshop or Homecrafter and make something. It only needs to be temporary and you can delete right away. Clone a wallpaper or a sim. This is forces the creation of a Downloads folder by the game though actually just running the game should do it also.
Are you looking in the right place? - in XP at least, the Downloads folder is in My Documents not in the game files (which is where you appear to be looking). The address for XP is
My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
This may be different for Vista (obviously I don't have it) but I've not heard people I know who DO have it say it's significantly different.

Are you effective you downloaded the record wisely? Did you unzip the obtain and place purely the equipment record into the Downloads folder? additionally, is it a default epidermis or a non-default epidermis? in spite of if this is a default, the exterior will ensue on all your sims in the sport as a replace of the unique Maxis epidermis. If no longer, then this is going to ensue as an decision in Create-a-Sim.
