The below is the search result of "OCR" at a free Japanese download site, Vector.

But you need to be able to read Japanese in order to utilize the result.

OCR for Japanese text does exist, the problem is with machine translation software. For some languages, like romance languages (Spanish, French, Italian), it's kinda ok, but for Asian languages like Japanese, it blows HARD. The "correct" process is 1. Scan images to computer 2. Pass to competent (human) translator 3. Remove Japanese text with image editing software, input English 4. ??? 5. Profit.
