In the light of what happened in Paris is the F1 going to be more or less exciting? Why?

    More exciting. During the remaining races between Hamilton and Alonso, there will be no pretence of "teammates" and the gloves will be off. With perhaps Alonso leaving, I think you will see three teams closer to the championship instead of two next year.

    I think in the long term it won't make much difference. The tracks and cars are so designed that overtaking is difficult, so being in at the first corner is pretty much akin to winning.

    Addition: After looking at the decision of the FIA, I do think it will affect F1 in two ways:

    1) When a team is trying to recruit someone for their team, they may prefer to employ someone from outside F1 rather than from another team so they can't be accused of having copied something from another team;

    2) I think a team is more likely to accept a slightly slower pace than copy something from another team, even if it is something really obvious like an airfoil.

    I think less exciting! What took place just showed F1 fans all over the world that there really is no battle on the track for the championships and that everything is all politics which is wrong! Whatever the FIA and Ferrari want, they get and boy did they show their true colors at the hearing! Let the teams battle each other on the track, not in court!

    What's Formula one without McLaren??? Isnt that the implied question?

    Nothing different, last year they were not noticed at all and F1 was no less exciting. No team is above the sport. It will be same even if there isnt a Ferrari.
