Our pastor said that most Jews believe that Jesus Christ is the son of GOD is that true?

And if Jews did believe Jesus Christ is the son of GOD wouldn't that make them no longer Jews?

Nope- NO Jews believe in Jesus as the son of God. Somebody who does is called a CHRISTIAN! The so called "Jews for Jesus", "Messianic Jews", "Hebrew Christians", "Completed Jews" or whatever else they want to call themselves are merely Christians using decietful tactics to get jews to convert to Christianity.

The bottom line is that Jesus is completely and utterly meaningless to Jews. he is not the son of God, a prophet, a Rabbi or even a mere teacher. He is nothing, and is never discussed or even mentioned in any Jewish writings.

Today, there are between 14 and 15 million Jews worldwide. Of that number, approximately 150,000 believe Jesus (Yeshua) is the Messiah, the Son of God. So your pastor is incorrect that "most" believe. However, Scripture is clear that ALL Jews who are alive at the time of Yeshua's Second Coming will be believers.

Those who do believe prefer to be called "Messianic Jews" instead of Christians. And to the contrary, believing in Yeshua as Messiah doesn't take away their "Jewishness." Under the Mosaic Law, a Jew who worships a god other than the One True God is to be cast away from the people; he or she is no longer considered a Jew. But since Yeshua is not a different God, a Jew who believes in Him is still a Jew.

Judaism teaches that it is impoosible for a man to be God so if a so called Jew said he believed Jeus was the Son of God it would count as heresy

There are NO Jews who believe Jesus divine or that he was a prophet. Jesus is entirely irrelevant to Judaism. The belief that God would become human is the ultimate heresy!

The percent of Jews who know Yeshua as Messiah is small, but growing daily.

Here's a statement from the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America.

"Messianic Judaism is a Biblically-based movement of people who, as committed Jews, believe in Yeshua (Jesus) as the Jewish Messiah of Israel of whom the Jewish Law and Prophets spoke.

To many this seems a glaring contradiction. Christians are Christians, Jews are decidedly not Christian."

I highly recommend the linked audio files by Elhanan Ben-Avraham. He's one of those that many Jews would say is not a Jew. I hope they appreciate his service in the IDF.

He's wrong. Or, he might be playing games with the facts by referring to the probably sizeable number of Europeans and Americans who unknowingly have Jewish ancestry. Either way, the statement is misleading and unhelpful.

Jews absolutely do not believe that Jesus was the son of

G-d and do not believe that he was divine in any way. In addition we do not believe that he was a prophet.

Jesus is NOT the son of God.

He's wrong. Most Jews, like Muslims, believe that Jesus was a prophet of God.
