Has anyone had a cat with vestibular disease?
My beautiful calico was diagnosed this week with the disease that affects her balance. I am wondering what to expect as we work through the recovery process.
It has been a hard week to say the least.

I've had a dog with vestibular disease. Its tough to see your pet in such conditions:( My dog recovered thankfully. I believe the recovery period could stretch to 2 or more weeks & some animals even recover on their own:) As for your pets ataxia ( lack of balance) try to help he/she out as much as you can! I wish you & your pet all the best!! Also, if your pet is not eating...my vet recommended this for my dog...maybe it could help you out
1. grab a cup
2. break a raw egg in the cup...without the shell of course:P
3. add some milk to the cup...about 3/4ths of the way
4. stir it in
5. feed it to your pet
Oh & if your pet does not want to lick it out of the cup, use a straw to feed your pet...that's what I had to do. Wishing you & your pet the best once again!
